GC-MS Analyst – Perfume & Cosmetics Lab

About the role

Sterling Parfums Industries LLC is seeking an experienced GC‑MS Analyst to join its Abu Dhabi laboratory. The analyst will support the analysis of perfume oils, specialty ingredients and aromatic chemicals, providing both qualitative and quantitative results for product development and quality control.

Key responsibilities

• Perform GC‑MS analysis of fragrance raw materials, specialty ingredients and aromatic compounds.
• Interpret chromatographic data, prepare analytical reports and communicate findings to R&D and quality teams.
• Investigate out‑of‑spec batches, troubleshoot instrument issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in method development, validation and routine performance verification.
• Conduct olfactive and organoleptic evaluations of raw materials as required.

Required profile

• 7–8 years of hands‑on experience in GC‑MS analysis, preferably in the fragrance, flavor or related FMCG sector.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmacy or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong understanding of fragrance and flavor ingredients and their analytical characteristics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
