General Accountant – Construction Sector

About the role

We are seeking a qualified General Accountant to join our Dubai office and support the financial operations of our construction projects. The role involves preparing, analysing and reporting accounting data to give insight into performance, liquidity and cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Enter journal entries into the accounting system.
• Conduct month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Collect, analyse and summarise account information.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Develop periodic management reports.
• Audit financial transactions and document internal controls.
• Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries.
• Verify accounts manually and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
• Manage employee expense reimbursements and business‑trip settlements.
• Monitor and analyse corporate credit‑card transactions.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly closing activities.
• Maintain end‑to‑end accounting processes from data entry to finalisation.

Required profile

• B.Com degree.
• At least 3‑4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction sector.
• Proven knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Immediate availability to join.
