About the role
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the General Accountant will support the Chief Accountant in delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis for a luxury hotel environment. The role involves preparing daily to annual reports, posting vouchers, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare all financial reports on time, meeting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.
- Assist in surprise spot‑checks of the General Cashier’s float.
- Provide support during internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain the General Ledger and record journal entries.
- Prepare monthly journals and allocate shared expenses across departments.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a luxury hotel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field.
- Effective team player with strong attention to detail.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Sun Systems.
- Experience using Opera.
- Familiarity with Materials System.
- Knowledge of Payroll System.
