About the role

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the General Accountant will support the Chief Accountant in delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis for a luxury hotel environment. The role involves preparing daily to annual reports, posting vouchers, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

Prepare all financial reports on time, meeting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.
Assist in surprise spot‑checks of the General Cashier’s float.
Provide support during internal and external audit processes.
Maintain the General Ledger and record journal entries.
Prepare monthly journals and allocate shared expenses across departments.

Required profile

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a luxury hotel.
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field.
Effective team player with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

Proficiency with Sun Systems.
Experience using Opera.
Familiarity with Materials System.
Knowledge of Payroll System.
