About the role
The General Fitter is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems within the property, ensuring reliable operation and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues promptly.
- Use tools and equipment to install, dismantle, and assemble mechanical components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications for accurate assembly and repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues.
- Execute repairs and replace faulty components to maintain optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule tasks.
- Support equipment installations and modifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
- Assist in managing inventory of spare parts and equipment.
