General Fitter – Mechanical Maintenance

About the role

The General Fitter will ensure the smooth operation of all mechanical equipment and systems within the property. Working on a full‑time basis, you will carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose faults and support installations to keep the hotel’s facilities running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues promptly.
• Install, dismantle and assemble components using appropriate tools.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications for accurate repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems.
• Repair or replace faulty parts to maintain optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks.
• Assist with equipment installations and modifications.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical maintenance within a hospitality or similar environment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.
