Senior Project Manager – Construction

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of a large‑scale construction project for Al Futtaim Construction, ensuring alignment with the Project Director’s objectives and the company’s strategic goals. The role requires strict adherence to budget, schedule, quality and safety standards while managing a multidisciplinary team in a complex environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of a high‑value construction project, maintaining schedule, budget and quality targets.
• Develop and execute a project delivery strategy, set up processes and controls, and manage risk, cost, and contract administration.
• Oversee financial aspects including budgeting, cost forecasting, and profitability, negotiating subcontractor agreements.
• Directly manage a multidisciplinary team, recruit talent, ensure safety and compliance, and foster a collaborative culture.
• Serve as the primary client liaison, manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication across all parties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 12‑15 years of experience delivering large‑scale construction projects on time and within budget.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project for scheduling.
• Strong budget management and cost forecasting capabilities.
• Expertise in risk management and quality assurance processes.
• Contract administration and negotiation skills.
