General Manager – Light Steel & Aluminium Fabrication

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Light Steel and Aluminium fabrication operations in Dubai. The role combines technical, commercial and strategic leadership to drive growth across architectural metal works, oil & gas, signage and related fabrication services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor production costs (direct, indirect, fixed, variable, capital) to produce accurate unit cost estimates for internal and external clients.
• Design an efficient organisational structure for the factories and establish clear roles and responsibilities.
• Oversee manufacturing processes ensuring production, quality, safety and delivery targets are consistently met.
• Review factory performance reports and enforce compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Track man‑hours against budgets and report variances.
• Support the Operating Officer in setting operational goals, expansion plans and adoption of new technologies.
• Identify training needs and promote continuous skill development for the workforce.

Required profile

• 10‑15+ years of experience in architectural steel/aluminium fabrication, signage, oil & gas or related manufacturing sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (B.Tech preferred).
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale fabrication plants and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication codes, standards and welding processes.
• Excellent project management, analytical and communication skills.
