PCBA Production Trainer

About the role

As a Trainer Production – PCBA you will design, develop and deliver practical training on PCBA processes, equipment and quality standards, ensuring operators and technicians are skilled, compliant and able to meet industry requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update training materials including work instructions, visual guides, assessments and certification modules for SMT and THT processes.
• Deliver hands‑on training on SMT/THT equipment, solder paste printing, SPI, reflow, AOI, manual and wave/selective soldering, and IPC workmanship standards.
• Conduct onboarding, refresher and ESD training, ensuring operators are certified before independent operation.
• Maintain operator skill matrix, perform competency and layer‑process audits, and provide corrective coaching.
• Integrate ECO/MCO changes, equipment upgrades and process improvements into training content quickly.
• Support NPI and prototype builds by preparing training readiness and observing pilot runs.
• Record all training activities, certifications and compliance metrics, and create visual aids, one‑point lessons and troubleshooting videos.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Training or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing and technical training.
• IPC Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) certification is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with IPC standards, especially IPC‑A‑610.

Required skills

• SMT and THT equipment operation.
• Solder paste printing, SPI, reflow, AOI, manual, wave and selective soldering.
• IPC‑A‑610 workmanship standards.
• ESD safety procedures.
• Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Competency assessment and training evaluation methods.
• Creation of visual aids, one‑point lessons and troubleshooting guides.
