General Manager – Nigeria

About the role

Taptap Send is seeking a General Manager for Nigeria to lead the development and scaling of its supply‑side partnerships and to grow the user base in the country. Reporting to the Growth Director for Africa, the GM will own the P&L for the Nigerian market and act as the public face of the company both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a vision, strategy and launch plan for sending and receiving services in Nigeria.
• Build and manage a network of local partners to expand the supply side.
• Design and run customer acquisition and retention programmes, including pricing and promotional strategies.
• Conduct user research to inform product improvements and ensure high‑quality user experience.
• Lead, coach and expand a local growth team of managers and specialists.
• Own the P&L, delivering growth and profitability targets for the market.
• Represent Taptap Send in media, industry events and with regulators.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in fintech, payments or related high‑growth sectors.
• Proven track record of scaling businesses in emerging markets.
• Strong P&L ownership and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, operations and finance teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
