Government Relations Officer

About the role

The Government Relations Officer will manage all government‑related processes and documentation for Capital Motion in Abu Dhabi. This includes visa applications, labor permits, trade licences, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting HR and administrative functions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate new visa applications, renewals, cancellations and status changes with HR and government bodies such as MOHRE, Immigration and DED.
• Monitor visa expiry dates, maintain employee documentation, and support onboarding with Emirates ID, medical tests and labour contracts.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labour and immigration laws; manage renewals of trade licences, tenancy contracts, civil‑defence certificates and other legal documents.
• Liaise with DED, Municipality, Ministry of Interior and other authorities to obtain operational permits.
• Assist employees with visa‑related queries, internal transfers and legal documentation.
• Prepare and submit forms to government entities, keep organized records and generate compliance reports.
• Support HR with insurance paperwork, employee accommodation arrangements and procurement of company stationery, stamps and legal forms.
• Represent Capital Motion in meetings with ministries and immigration offices, providing updates to the HR Admin Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a PRO or government liaison role, preferably within hospitality or food‑and‑beverage.
