Graduate Cost Estimation (UAE National)

About the role

Wood is seeking a UAE‑national graduate to join its Cost Estimation team in Abu Dhabi. The role supports project delivery from inception to hand‑over by managing budgeting, cost monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost budgets and forecasts.
• Track expenditures, monitor cost variance and produce analytical reports.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, cost reports and financial dashboards.
• Support change management by evaluating cost impacts.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to assess project performance.
• Identify cost risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with project controls, planning, procurement and construction teams.
• Liaise with finance for invoicing, accruals and cost actuals.

Required profile

• UAE national with a recent graduate degree in engineering, finance or a related field.
• Strong numerical aptitude and high attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate cost trends to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proactive, results‑driven and able to meet tight reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and data‑analysis capability.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Experience with cost budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
