Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join AtkinsRéalis in Dubai, working on newly awarded projects across various sectors in the UAE. This full‑time position offers the chance to develop your estimating and cost‑control skills on high‑profile developments.

Key responsibilities

• Organise measurement tasks and prepare estimates or cost plans for review.
• Draft Bills of Quantities (BOQ) including preambles and general requirements.
• Conduct market research and update unit rates for estimating.
• Perform on‑site and off‑site quantity verification, supporting payment and variation assessments.
• Check and verify subcontractor invoices, maintain payment registers and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts and alternative design cost estimates.
• Verify final accounts submitted by contractors and recommend adjustments to the client.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 0–2 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost planning.
• Proficiency with computer tools such as AutoCAD measurement, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Understanding of cost planning stages (concept, schematic, detailed design).
• Familiarity with BOQ preparation using POMI and CESMM standards.
• Knowledge of contract documentation and FDIC forms of contracts.
