Graphic Design Trainee (Emiratisation)

About the role

Chalhoub Group, a luxury retailer with over 10 owned brands and more than 950 stores across the Middle East, is hiring a Graphic Design Trainee for its E-Commerce and Marketing Content team. The role suits an emerging designer who wants hands-on experience creating digital-first, customer-focused content for e-commerce and marketing campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Create engaging digital and social media assets for e-commerce and marketing activities.
• Use Adobe Photoshop to create, develop and adapt creative content.
• Translate marketing requirements into clear, engaging visuals.
• Explore social media and graphic design trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.
• Support shoot briefs and creative direction, and select products from the online assortment to feature in content.
• Experiment with Generative AI and AI-assisted creative tools, and develop alternatives when traditional shoots are not feasible.
• Work with E-Commerce, Marketing, Content and other teams; the role is not focused on illustration or sketching.

Required profile

• UAE national with a Family Book.
• Background in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, Multimedia Design, Marketing, Creative Arts or a related field.
• Previous professional experience is not essential; creativity, technical foundation and learning potential are valued.
• Strong attention to detail, awareness of digital and social media trends, curiosity about Generative AI, openness to feedback and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Understanding of digital graphic design and social-first content.
