Group Internal Auditor

About the role

The Group Internal Auditor will design and lead the internal audit and risk framework for a fast‑growing Food & Beverage business operating in the UAE and Kuwait. Based in Dubai, the role supports governance, controls and risk mitigation across retail, manufacturing and support functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the group’s internal audit methodology, policies and reporting standards.
• Build enterprise‑wide risk assessment processes, maintain risk registers and produce annual risk‑based audit plans.
• Conduct operational, financial, compliance and process audits across stores, warehouses, factories and corporate functions.
• Perform surprise audits, cash and inventory counts, and site inspections.
• Analyse ERP, POS, payroll and financial data to identify trends, risks and control weaknesses.
• Lead investigations into losses, fraud, policy breaches and operational irregularities.
• Drive loss‑prevention initiatives covering cash handling, inventory control and procurement.
• Review supplier onboarding, purchasing controls and vendor compliance.
• Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations and monitor remediation activities.
• Provide regular independent assurance to senior leadership and support whistle‑blowing investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA or CIA.
• Significant experience in internal audit, risk management or compliance within a multi‑site environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
