Head Hostess – Korean Steakhouse and Lounge

About the role

The Head Hostess leads the front‑of‑house team at a vibrant Korean steakhouse and lounge in Dubai, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome and a flawless dining experience from the moment they call to reserve a table until they leave the venue.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, manage dining reservations, and accurately enter guest information into the reservation system.
• Maintain the wait list, provide realistic wait‑time estimates, and make seating decisions using the station rotation chart.
• Seat guests, pull chairs, set clean menus, and ensure each place setting includes the correct silverware and napkins.
• Organize seating for large parties and guests with special needs, and guide them through the dining area.
• Monitor the dining room for availability, service quality, and safety, communicating with guests and staff as needed.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching front‑of‑house employees.
• Enforce company safety and security policies, report incidents, and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and staff development.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift items up to 10 lb throughout the shift.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
