Head of AI

About the role

The Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a Head of AI to lead its enterprise‑wide artificial intelligence strategy. Reporting directly to the C‑suite, the role will shape how AI is embedded, governed and scaled across the bank’s products, services and operating processes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the bank’s AI vision, strategy and investment priorities.
• Translate strategy into a practical playbook and roadmap for AI adoption.
• Establish an AI factory model that delivers solutions from use‑case identification to deployment, optimisation and continuous monitoring.
• Build and manage the enterprise AI ecosystem, including platforms, governance, talent and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure AI initiatives comply with regulatory, ethical and resilience requirements.
• Collaborate with business, technology, data, risk and external stakeholders to achieve measurable outcomes.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in AI within large, complex organisations.
• Proven ability to drive AI‑enabled transformation and deliver measurable business value.
• Strong understanding of AI lifecycle management and industrial‑scale deployment.
• Experience working with C‑level executives and cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AI technologies, platforms and governance frameworks.
• Strategic planning and execution capabilities for AI initiatives.
• Ability to manage partnerships with specialised AI vendors.
