Data Scientist – Multimodal AI & Computer Vision

About the role

The Space42 Company is recruiting a data scientist in Abu Dhabi who can handle big multimodal data sets to create solutions based on data to address complex business problems. The role involves performing analytics, using statistical methods, and developing AI models to help make decisions and innovate.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze big multimodal datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Create and improve AI models related to computer vision, pattern recognition, and anomaly detection.
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques for trend identification, prediction, and process optimization.
• Collaborate with data engineers to deploy analytical models and algorithms into production.
• Communicate analytical results to non‑technical stakeholders and maintain documentation for models, algorithms, and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience as a data scientist or in a similar data analysis and machine learning role.
• Strong programming skills in Python and expertise in data handling and analysis.
• Experience building models for computer vision, pattern analysis, anomaly detection, or data mining.
• Good knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, data preprocessing, and machine learning techniques.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with information visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate analytical findings.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other distributed computing platforms.
• Knowledge of machine learning model formats such as ONNX.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving and critical thinking skills for complex analytical issues.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts and findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
