Head of Compliance Technology Platforms

About the role

The Head of Compliance Technology Platforms will lead ADIB’s Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) technology ecosystem. This senior, hands‑on position is responsible for ensuring the resilience, performance, and evolution of compliance systems that detect and prevent financial crime across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the AML system technology strategy in line with the bank’s overall technology roadmap.
• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance detection sophistication and reduce manual alert handling.
• Maintain 24/7 service availability, manage incident response, root‑cause analysis, and resilience testing.
• Lead configuration, optimisation, and monitoring of SAS‑based AML platforms to identify unusual transaction patterns.
• Prioritise and deliver business‑as‑usual change requests, regulatory projects, and strategic initiatives within tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with Core Platforms, Data Architecture, and extended leadership teams to align AML capabilities with enterprise goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience in AML/CFT technology and compliance operations.
• Deep knowledge of UAE and international AML/CFT regulations.
• Proven senior leadership experience managing technical teams and delivering large‑scale compliance projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
