Head of Enterprise IT (Finance, HR and Group Functions)

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for an experienced Head of Enterprise IT to drive a large‑scale SAP S/4HANA transformation across Finance, Procurement, Human Resources and other core enterprise functions. The role will shape the transformation strategy, lead implementation partners and ensure successful business adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the SAP S/4HANA programme for Finance, Procurement, HR and related functions.
• Develop and execute the ERP transformation roadmap aligned with digital objectives.
• Establish programme governance, budget controls, risk management and benefits realization.
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, HR and Technology stakeholders to design future‑state processes and solutions.
• Manage system integrators, consulting partners, vendors and delivery teams across design, build, testing, data migration, cut‑over, deployment and hyper‑care.
• Ensure integration between SAP and enterprise applications, operational platforms and third‑party systems.
• Lead business readiness, change management, training and adoption activities.
• Provide regular executive reporting, steering‑committee updates and governance oversight.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve processes and ERP outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience leading large‑scale enterprise transformation programmes.
• At least 8 years of SAP programme delivery experience, including a full SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Proven track record delivering Finance, Procurement and HR transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience managing large implementation budgets, external vendors and system integrators.
• Extensive experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage executive stakeholders, programme governance and organisational change.
