Head of Finance

About the role

We are seeking a senior finance leader to drive financial performance, governance and operational effectiveness for Abu Dhabi Aviation. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will provide strategic insight, oversee all finance functions and partner with the leadership team to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead receivables management, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections and monitoring aged balances.
• Oversee procure-to-pay and accounts payable processes, maintaining vendor governance and cash‑flow controls.
• Manage payroll execution in coordination with HR, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
• Direct month‑end and year‑end close activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Prepare and present management accounts, financial reports and variance analysis to Group Finance and senior leadership.
• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting and re‑forecasting, analysing revenue, costs and key performance indicators.
• Supervise cash‑flow and working‑capital management, providing liquidity forecasts and risk alerts.
• Maintain robust financial controls, governance frameworks and support internal and external audit processes.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams on contracts, pricing, profitability and business initiatives.
• Champion continuous improvement of finance systems, data integrity and automation.
• Coordinate with Group Finance, auditors and stakeholders to ensure timely reporting and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior finance role within aviation, aerospace, MRO, engineering, transportation or other asset‑intensive industries.
• Proven track record in financial planning, performance improvement, transformation and governance.
• Experience operating in matrix or multi‑entity group structures and managing finance business partnering.
• Strong understanding of aviation operations, long‑term service agreements and asset‑heavy environments.
