Head of GCC & MENA Marketplace

About the role

Amazon is seeking a strategic leader to head its GCC and MENA Marketplace operations. In this senior position you will shape category strategy, build high‑performing teams and drive growth for millions of customers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic vision for the GCC and MENA Marketplace, setting goals, mechanisms and team structures aligned with long‑term business objectives.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of managers, fostering an inclusive environment and providing clear career development pathways.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to design inventory optimisation and marketing campaigns that enhance category performance.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure favourable terms, ensure compliance and evaluate performance against business targets.
• Implement scalable processes and use data‑driven insights to identify risks, opportunities and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in marketplace or category management within e‑commerce or retail.
• Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and deliver results at scale.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of making data‑informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across multiple functions.
