Head of GM Trade Support and Control

About the role

The Head of GM Trade Support and Control will lead the end‑to‑end trade support function for complex derivatives at First Abu Dhabi Bank. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure operational excellence, risk integrity and regulatory compliance across the Global Markets franchise.

Key responsibilities

• Own and govern T0 requirements, triaging front‑office requests, amendments and urgent items while maintaining SLA adherence.
• Oversee daily T0 Dealer Assist rotation, ensuring cross‑expertise support across FX/MM, Rates, Derivatives and Capital Markets.
• Manage booking, validation, affirmation and lifecycle processing for IRS, swaptions, FX options, exotic equity structures, structured notes and other complex products.
• Lead end‑of‑day and intraday P&L integrity checks, approve model approximations and valuation overrides.
• Ensure mandatory clearing, UTI/UPI completeness and timely trade confirmations (T+0/T+1).
• Act as senior escalation point for Trading, Sales, COO, Quants, Risk, Finance and IT, representing the function in governance forums and audits.
• Drive automation initiatives using Power Automate, reconciliation tools and dashboards; lead UAT and business analysis for system releases.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in derivatives trade support or middle‑office across multi‑asset OTC and structured products.
• Deep knowledge of Murex, MarkitWire, Bloomberg and clearing workflow processes.
• Strong expertise in risk, P&L and valuation concepts (Delta, Gamma, Vega).
• Proven track record of leading teams, managing stakeholder relationships and delivering process improvements.
