Head of Human Resources

About the role

Barza Consulting is seeking a senior HR professional to lead and build the Human Resources function for a fast‑growing start‑up located in the Dubai International Financial Centre. This hands‑on leadership role will shape HR strategy, processes and culture as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall HR strategy and day‑to‑day HR function
• Establish and enhance HR policies, processes and governance frameworks
• Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning and organisational priorities
• Lead recruitment and talent acquisition across key business functions
• Manage performance management, employee engagement and talent development initiatives
• Oversee compensation, benefits, employee relations and HR operations
• Ensure compliance with UAE employment regulations and DIFC requirements
• Support organisational design, succession planning and future workforce growth
• Introduce scalable HR systems, processes and best practices as the organization expands

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership or HR generalist experience in an SME, start‑up or fast‑growing organisation
• Strong understanding of the UAE employment landscape; knowledge of DIFC regulations is a plus
• Experience building or transforming HR functions, policies and processes
• Demonstrated recruitment and talent management expertise
• Commercially minded with ability to partner effectively with founders and senior leadership
• Comfortable operating in a hands‑on, lean and evolving business environment
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• UAE experience strongly preferred
