Head of Internal Audit

About the role

Orient Takaful PJSC, a subsidiary of Al‑Futtaim Group, is looking for a Head of Internal Audit. The role provides independent, objective assurance on governance, risk management and internal controls across the organisation and its subsidiaries, and ensures compliance with Central Bank of UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a risk‑based annual audit plan, approved by the Board Audit Committee, covering all business activities including IT, finance, operations and compliance.
• Maintain the Internal Audit Charter and review it at least every three years.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the “Three Lines Model” and report findings directly to the Board Audit Committee without management filtering.
• Ensure the audit function remains independent and is not involved in designing, implementing or operating internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, auditing, risk management, insurance or a related discipline.
• Professional audit or risk designation preferred (CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, CII or ACII).
• Minimum five years of internal or external audit experience within insurance or another financial institution.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations, regulatory frameworks, risk governance and internal controls.
