Head of Mathematics

About the role

Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Mathematics to lead its Mathematics department from August 2026. You will be responsible for driving high‑quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE and A‑Level Mathematics, within an international British‑curriculum environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of Mathematics teachers, setting clear expectations and providing coaching and professional development.
• Oversee curriculum planning, assessment design, data analysis and departmental improvement planning.
• Promote a strong numeracy and problem‑solving ethos across the school and encourage cross‑curricular collaboration.
• Ensure a well‑structured, engaging and challenging learning environment that supports innovation and academic excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at secondary level within a British curriculum.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to build and sustain high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on coaching staff.
• Commitment to fostering a collaborative, accountable and inclusive department culture.
