Head of Procurement

About the role

The Head of Procurement will lead WeOne’s procurement function in Dubai, shaping strategy, driving cost efficiencies and ensuring compliance with DP World governance and ESG standards. This senior position oversees category management, supplier performance, digital sourcing tools and central stores operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with DP World priorities.
• Lead category management across major spend areas to achieve savings and improve service levels.
• Oversee end‑to‑end procurement operations, including sourcing, purchase order execution and contract compliance.
• Implement supplier management frameworks with performance metrics, SLAs and vendor audits.
• Ensure full governance compliance with DP World policies, ESG requirements and audit controls.
• Drive digitalisation initiatives such as e‑sourcing, automated workflows and analytics dashboards.
• Identify and deliver annual cost‑saving and process‑efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to consolidate demand and execute strategic sourcing plans.
• Lead contract negotiations to secure optimal terms and mitigate risk.
• Maintain procurement policies, SOPs and best‑practice documentation.
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance management for the procurement team.
• Represent WeOne Procurement in internal committees, audits and strategic forums.
• Manage Central Stores operations, inventory accuracy and warehouse layout.
• Optimize stores processes to reduce carrying costs and improve material readiness.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in procurement or supply‑chain functions.
• Strong knowledge of category management, contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Experience with procurement governance, ESG compliance and audit processes.
• Ability to lead digital transformation and analytics initiatives.
