Head of Section – Secondary (Grades 6‑12)

About the role

International Community Schools (ICS) Khalifa City, a leading American curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an exceptional and dynamic Head of Section to lead its Secondary school (Grades 6‑12). The role requires a seasoned educational leader with extensive experience in an American curriculum framework, a deep commitment to student success, and a thorough understanding of ADEK regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant academic subject.
• Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field (highly preferred).
• Valid professional teaching license/certification from a recognized US state or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of full‑time teaching experience within an American curriculum school (Grades 6‑12).
• Minimum 4 years of proven leadership experience in an American curriculum setting (e.g., Head of Department, Assistant Principal).
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and assessment aligned with US Common Core State Standards.
• Strong track record in staff supervision, performance management, and professional development.
• Ability to comply with ADEK regulations and successfully complete UAE background and medical checks.
