Head of Technology Transformation & Portfolio Management

About the role

The Head of Technology Transformation & Portfolio Management will lead ADIB’s technology transformation function, overseeing portfolio governance, program delivery and the development of UAE national talent. Reporting to the Acting CIO, the role ensures that technology initiatives align with business objectives, risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology transformation roadmap, driving Agile, hybrid ways of working and continuous improvement.
• Own portfolio planning, prioritisation and investment governance, providing transparent reporting on scope, schedule, cost and benefits.
• Establish and maintain PMO policies, standards and stage‑gate controls to ensure audit readiness and quality assurance.
• Provide leadership for the delivery of technology programmes, managing risks, dependencies and stakeholder escalations.
• Develop and maintain the workforce plan, balancing permanent staff, UAE nationals, contractors and strategic partners.
• Create structured development plans for UAE nationals, including mentoring, coaching and certification pathways.
• Partner with Business, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Procurement and external partners, acting as a trusted advisor to senior technology leadership.

Required profile

• UAE national with extensive experience in technology transformation, portfolio management and PMO governance.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and drive organisational change.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior executives and external partners.
• Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, talent development and succession planning.
