Head of Testing & Calibration

About the role

AirQo is looking for an experienced Head of Testing & Calibration to establish and lead the Testing & Calibration function within its Assembly, Integration & Testing division. The role will build the testing team, define processes, and ensure test readiness ahead of production line launch.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Testing & Calibration function, recruiting key team members such as the Testing & Calibration Lead and Production Testing Engineer.
• Define clear roles, responsibilities, processes, and performance standards for the testing team.
• Monitor and report testing readiness, throughput, quality, and performance metrics to the VP of AIT.
• Own overall test and calibration readiness before production line and facility go‑live, establishing standardized testing, inspection, calibration, and integration checkout procedures.
• Define requirements and standards for test rigs, test equipment, and associated systems.
• Ensure all testing and measurement equipment is calibrated, maintained, and traceable.
• Manage effective rework, repair, and defect‑resolution workflows while supporting production targets.
• Implement and maintain quality controls, supporting ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant standards, and assist during audits and corrective‑action activities.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Production, and external testing and calibration partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in testing, calibration, or related aerospace/industrial environments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams.
• Strong track record of establishing and managing testing and calibration processes.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with R&D, engineering, and production teams.
