Head of Trading

About the role

The Head of Trading will lead a multi‑asset trading desk in Dubai, reporting directly to the CEO. This senior, hands‑on position combines active trading across equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, commodities and alternatives with the responsibility of building and mentoring a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage trading across a multi‑asset portfolio, maintaining personal P&L accountability.
• Maintain direct market access and relationships with prime brokers, ECNs and liquidity providers in European and MENA markets.
• Develop, refine and implement best‑execution strategies, monitoring market microstructure and execution quality.
• Lead, coach and grow a trading team, setting culture, standards and desk‑level KPIs.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, risk and compliance to ensure alignment with firm mandates.
• Operate within defined risk parameters and ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional trading experience (approximately 120 months).
• Deep knowledge of European and UAE/GCC markets with a strong network of prime brokers and liquidity providers.
• Commercially minded, able to represent the firm externally and drive execution excellence.
• Proven leadership skills with experience building and mentoring trading teams.
• Strong risk awareness and ability to work closely with compliance functions.
