Head of Year – Primary (Academic Year 2026/27)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an experienced Head of Year for the Primary phase at Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the 2026/27 academic year. The role leads the year group, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and student progress across the English National Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies that reflect the school’s vision and high‑achievement standards.
• Monitor, evaluate and adjust short‑, medium‑ and long‑term plans for the year group.
• Use data to identify under‑achieving students and create targeted intervention plans.
• Oversee curriculum coverage, continuity and progression, including provisions for SEN, G&T and EAL learners.
• Set expectations for staff performance, assess teaching quality and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the school’s CAS programme and coordinate after‑school booster/revision sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in primary education leadership.
• Proven track record of raising standards and closing learning gaps.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Commitment to the values and ethos of the region and the school community.
