About the role
The Healthcare Assistant will work under the direct supervision of registered nursing staff to deliver safe, timely, and compassionate care to patients within the hospital environment. This role supports patient movement, clerical tasks, and specimen transport while upholding NMC Nursing values.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver patient care and services safely and promptly under supervision.
- Identify and report opportunities for improvement following the chain of command.
- Assist with escorting patients throughout the clinical setting.
- Support patients with appointment bookings and other clerical duties.
- Transport patient specimens to the laboratory.
- Perform additional duties within the scope of the role as assigned.
Required profile
- Willingness to work across departments when needed.
- Ability to manage personal professional re‑licensure.
- Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider qualification.
- Clear and effective communication in English, both spoken and written.
Required skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
