Healthcare Liaison Officer (HLO) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Healthcare Liaison Officer (HLO) supports NMC Healthcare’s network of facilities in Abu Dhabi by coordinating emergency communications, managing surge capacity information and ensuring compliance with HR and facility policies. The role operates within the Unified Medical Operations Center (UMOC) to facilitate timely response during routine and crisis situations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date contact details for all health‑care facilities within the group.
• Coordinate with facility Emergency Management Programs covering preparedness, response, recovery and business continuity.
• Serve as the primary communication link between UMOC, hospitals and emergency services during incidents such as mass casualty events, planned gatherings and other emergencies.
• Monitor facility resources, verify availability of Special Pathway Programs (e.g., STEMI, Burns, Stroke) and provide real‑time surge capacity data.
• Prepare and update documentation, periodic reports for the Department of Health and assist the SPP Task Force in process improvement.
• Escalate incidents through the proper chain of command and support senior management requests.
• Adhere to HR standards, punctuality, confidentiality and ensure all assets are functional.
• Work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
