Heavy Vehicle / Car Carrier Driver

About the role

Al Futtaim Automotive is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle / Car Carrier Driver to operate heavy‑duty trucks and trailers across the UAE. The role focuses on safe, timely, and damage‑free delivery of vehicles and equipment while coordinating with planning teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive heavy‑duty trucks, including car carriers, flat‑bed and low‑bed trailers, to transport vehicles and equipment.
• Load and unload vehicles, inspect loads for defects, and ensure proper documentation such as trip sheets and fuel receipts.
• Maintain economical fuel consumption, keep the vehicle full at shift end, and update the driver logbook accurately.
• Act as the communication link between customers and the planning team, reporting any accidents, incidents, or defects promptly.

Required profile

• Matriculation (high school) completed.
• Minimum 2 years experience driving Class 4 vehicles with trailers.
• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures.
• Strong teamwork and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proven heavy‑goods vehicle driving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE roads and RTA regulations.
• Strong communication and diplomacy when liaising with customers and planning staff.
• Ability to follow company health, safety, and quality policies.
