Helper – Maintenance Support

About the role

The Helper will support routine maintenance and preparation of cradles used for various vessels at our Dubai operations. Working closely with foremen, supervisors and the wider team, the role ensures equipment meets required standards and contributes to smooth port activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in routine maintenance of cradles and related equipment.
• Prepare cradles for different vessels according to operational schedules.
• Maintain good working relationships with workers, foremen, supervisors and management.
• Perform foreman duties when appointed for specific projects.
• Inspect materials for required standards and report any damages.
• Meet allocated timescales and department targets.
• Attend required training sessions and follow day‑to‑day operational procedures.
• Undertake other related duties as directed.

• Flexibility to take on foreman responsibilities when needed.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge.
