Hostess – Lagun Beach Restaurant & Bar

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and organized Hostess to join the Lagun Beach Restaurant & Bar team at Sofitel Dubai The Palm. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience in a vibrant beachfront setting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the dining room layout, table numbers, capacity, and reservation procedures.
• Answer telephone calls promptly, record reservations, cancellations, and special requests according to departmental standards.
• Prepare and organize the hostess stand, menus, and check folders, keeping them clean and stocked.
• Greet guests at the entrance, assign tables fairly according to the floor plan, and present menus.
• Monitor waiting lines during peak periods and coordinate seating to minimise guest wait times.
• Communicate any reservation changes to management throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel or restaurant operations.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
