Hotel Electrician

About the role

Accor is hiring an electrician in Dubai for its hotel property. The post covers the maintenance and repair of all electrical systems and equipment, including planned maintenance, installation and modifications, while ensuring work follows safe work practices and fire procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Respond immediately to work requests concerning health and safety, and respond promptly to guest requests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Operate, maintain and repair all electrical-related equipment, keeping it performing optimally through preventive maintenance and shift reading programmes.
• Evaluate equipment usage and energy efficiency, and complete work orders with due diligence.
• Maintain a daily log book of problems, solutions and activities, and keep equipment catalogues and tagging directories up to date.
• Take part in monthly departmental meetings, give feedback and suggest improvements.
• Maintain health and safety documentation for the assigned area, report and document potential hazards, and take part in the emergency response team as directed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Electrician certification.
• Five years of verifiable commercial experience.
• Material Handling Equipment certification as required.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions and technical manuals.
• Writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Speaking effectively to customers and colleagues.
• Interpreting technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.
