Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

Rixos, a hotel group established in 2000 in Turkey known for its all-inclusive, all-exclusive concept, is hiring a Housekeeping Attendant in Ras Al-Khaimah. The attendant is responsible for all hotel housekeeping functions and assists the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Senior Housekeeping Supervisor in completing departmental tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Collect the assignment sheet from the Housekeeping office and note guest requests and instructions given by the supervisor.
• Attend communication meetings of the assigned section.
• Arrange guest amenities, cleaning supplies, mini bar items and clean linen properly on the trolley before starting work.
• Check and record rooms marked "Make Up" and, before the end of the shift, check and respect "Do Not Disturb" signs.
• Supervise the end-of-day closing of the service area, ensuring equipment is in good condition and no hazards remain.
• Communicate information needed by the next shift or supervisor and report guest valuables found to the supervisor.
• Clean bathrooms, walls and bathtubs thoroughly, replace towels and amenities, and report maintenance issues.
• Refresh flowers, make up beds, clean bedrooms and refill stationery, matches and mini bar items.
• Follow key issue protocol: greet guests immediately, establish eye contact, and provide professional service while respecting hospitality protocols in guest rooms.

Required profile

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping or a similar role in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Previous experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel is preferred.
• Physically fit for cleaning tasks, lifting, bending and long periods standing or walking.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays and shifts.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, guestroom standards and hygiene practices.
• Ability to follow instructions, SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
• Good communication skills and a professional, guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of housekeeping tools, equipment and chemical handling is an advantage.
