HSE Engineer – Construction Safety Lead

About the role

The HSE Engineer will lead health, safety and environmental initiatives for high‑rise building projects across the UAE and GCC region. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that all construction activities comply with local regulations and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with UAE HSE laws, construction safety regulations and client requirements.
• Implement and monitor HSE management systems across project sites.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective‑action planning.
• Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions for site personnel.
• Prepare detailed reports, documentation and safety records.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, regulatory authorities and internal teams to resolve safety issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of HSE experience in UAE/GCC high‑rise building projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory); IOSH, OSHA or Lead Auditor ISO 45001/14001 preferred.
• Proven leadership, communication and team‑management abilities.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE legislation and construction safety standards.
