HSE Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) activities for a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role will ensure the project is delivered safely, on time and within budget while meeting all regulatory and owner requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and engage all personnel in HSSE initiatives.
• Lead a team of HSE professionals, including Lead HSE Engineers and Senior HSE Officers.
• Develop, implement and monitor the project HSSE management system, procedures and annual plans.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and permit‑to‑work (PTW) reviews throughout the EPC phase.
• Analyse incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain emergency response plans, including H2S and medical evacuation arrangements.
• Coordinate HSE input during design, tendering and construction, ensuring compliance with legal and owner standards.
• Report HSSE performance, trends and non‑compliance to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in HSE management on large EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of local HSSE legislation and international standards.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work onsite in Abu Dhabi and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
