HSE Officer / Campus Director

About the role

The HSE Officer / Campus Director will oversee daily health, safety and environmental operations across the school campus, providing technical support to management and facilities teams. This role ensures compliance with local regulations, enhances safety culture, and drives continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support school management and facilities on all health and safety matters.
• Verify that service providers meet all HSE requirements.
• Organise and deliver health‑safety training such as firefighting, first aid and inductions.
• Collaborate with management to implement HSE policies and procedures.
• Prepare statistics for performance monitoring and report to the HSE officer.
• Track accident/near‑miss incidents, analyse trends and recommend preventive actions.
• Conduct monthly HSE inspections in line with the inspection plan.
• Ensure comprehensive risk assessments are in place for all school activities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date safety signage, emergency response plans and PPE availability.
• Coordinate health, safety and environmental requirements for construction or refurbishment projects.
• Participate in training and development activities and assist with related tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of relevant HSE experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in HSE or a closely related field.
• OSHAD, IOSH or NEBOSH IGC certification (or equivalent).
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Strong communication, pressure handling and teamwork abilities.
