HSE Officer – Safety & Environment

About the role

The HSE Officer will lead safety and environmental management across all AL TAIF workshops, warehouses, and office areas in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure compliance with UAE regulations and embed HSE best practices into daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and document safety and environmental management systems across all sites.
• Analyse inspection data, identify non‑compliance trends, and drive closure of findings.
• Advise managers on integrating HSE protocols into workflows.
• Administer the approved Risk Framework and keep the Risk Register up to date.
• Develop, deliver, and track training programs for risk assessments, JHAs, and environmental impact evaluations.
• Prepare performance reports and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Manage HSE training curriculum, schedules, and records for employees and contractors.
• Oversee waste‑management documentation to ensure strict regulatory compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality of all HSE records and provide mentorship to the HSE team.

Required profile

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in an HSE role.
• Experience with industrial safety programs and ability to monitor HSE trends.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and ability to apply them.
• Independent work style with excellent administrative project management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
