HVAC Technician – Luxury Hotel (Dubai)

About the role

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles The Palm as we are currently looking for an HVAC Technician, reporting to the Engineering Supervisor / Duty Engineer. The HVAC Technician is responsible for carrying out a variety of heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks across the property, ensuring that all HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the hotel’s safety, quality, and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Report daily work progress and work order completion to the Duty Engineer / Supervisor.
• Attend to all air‑conditioning complaint reports each day, giving priority to guest‑room issues.
• Carry out preventive and annual maintenance programmes in close cooperation with the Duty Engineer and peers.
• Follow all safety rules, departmental procedures and instructions.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Secondary School plus Technical College qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of air‑conditioning or refrigeration installation/maintenance experience in industrial or commercial projects; luxury hotel experience preferred.
• Good all‑round practical trade skills, including fabrication, installation and maintenance.
• Ability to perform gas and arc welding.
• Strong command of English.

Required skills

• Ability to read building services, air‑conditioning, refrigeration and electrical drawings.
• Fault finding and repair of air‑conditioning and building control systems.
• Good electrical knowledge and familiarity with BMS systems.
• Experience with reciprocating chillers, air‑handling plants and cold rooms.
• Knowledge of water‑treatment techniques and safe handling of chemicals.
