Inclusion Assistant for KG Charter School

About the role

Provide early intervention to promote the educational and social development of identified pupils under the direction of the Head of Inclusion and class teacher at Al Mushrif KG Charter School.

Key responsibilities

• Support individual pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation in school activities.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring individual education programmes aligned with IEP goals.
• Help pupils with academic, physical, emotional, and behavioural difficulties and develop their social and communication skills.
• Prepare resources and adapt curriculum to facilitate learning.
• Promote independence by teaching clear strategies.
• Maintain pupil records and assist teachers with documentation.
• Collaborate with home‑room and subject teachers, as well as external professionals such as speech and occupational therapists.
• Participate in health and safety duties, training sessions and professional meetings.
• Supervise pupils during specialist lessons, trips and extracurricular activities.
• Mentor new Inclusion Assistants when experienced.

Required profile

• SEN qualification – Diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with special educational needs pupils.
