Inclusion Assistant

About the role

The Inclusion Assistant will support Aldar Academies in delivering an inclusive learning environment for students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) during the academic year 2026/27. Working closely with teachers, staff and families, the role aims to ensure that every student can access the curriculum and develop confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the school in achieving its vision and improvement targets while complying with health, safety and equal‑opportunity policies.
• Develop an understanding of each student’s AEN/SEN needs and adapt lessons, equipment and materials accordingly.
• Support students with physical needs, help them record work, build study and organisational skills, and maintain motivation.
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan differentiated activities, prepare resources, and supervise practical tasks.
• Keep accurate records of student progress and assist in performance‑management processes as directed.
• Participate in mandatory training on child protection, safeguarding and health‑and‑safety.
