Inclusion Teacher – Immediate Start

About the role

GEMS International School in the UAE is seeking an enthusiastic Inclusion Teacher to start immediately or by January 2027 at the latest. You will work closely with classroom teachers, the Inclusion team, families and external specialists to ensure students with additional learning needs fully access the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Identify students with a range of learning needs and design targeted interventions.
• Deliver high‑quality individual and small‑group support sessions.
• Collaborate with subject teachers to adapt lessons and remove barriers to progress.
• Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
• Monitor progress using assessment data and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Provide practical differentiation strategies to teachers.
• Maintain confidential records of student provision and outcomes.
• Engage with parents to communicate needs, provision and progress.
• Work with ELL, counselling and pastoral teams to provide holistic support.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, State Teaching Licence or equivalent).
• Relevant bachelor’s degree meeting UAE teacher approval requirements.
• Experience supporting students with SEND/SEN in a school setting.
• Knowledge of differentiation, intervention and personalised learning.
• Ability to use assessment data to inform provision.
