Infrastructure Draftsman – Road & Utility Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Draftsman to produce accurate 2D design, shop and as‑built drawings for road, utility, drainage and related infrastructure projects. The role supports the delivery team by turning survey data, consultant comments and site changes into clear construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and revise 2D drawings for roads, cycle tracks, grading, drainage and dry/wet utilities.
• Develop general arrangements, setting‑out plans, utility layouts, longitudinal profiles, cross‑sections, trench details, chambers and construction details with precise coordinates, levels and dimensions.
• Coordinate drawings with landscape, structural, MEP and existing services, identifying clashes and missing details.
• Incorporate survey data, RFIs, consultant comments and approved site changes while maintaining revision histories and drawing registers.
• Ensure compliance with drawing standards, including layers, title blocks, annotations and scales.
• Support authority and consultant submission packages as required.
• Work with engineers, surveyors and site teams to verify constructability and keep accurate as‑built records.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of infrastructure drafting experience, preferably on Abu Dhabi road and utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of survey information, coordinate systems, levels and utility profiles.
• Experience with stormwater, irrigation, water supply, electrical/ELV or other underground networks is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with Navisworks and BIM model review.
• Ability to manage drawing and revision control.
