Inspector - Civil (Roads)

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to join a major roads and infrastructure project in Dubai. The role combines on‑site inspection with supervision of construction activities, ensuring all works comply with contract specifications, health and safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Familiarise yourself with contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications and health‑and‑safety measures.
• Verify contractor compliance with standards and specifications.
• Maintain daily records of contractor personnel, equipment and resources.
• Conduct site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
• Liaise daily with the contractor to monitor resource allocation, safety practices and equipment needs.
• Prepare daily reports for the RE/ARE covering work orders, material deliveries and inspection programmes.
• Implement site instructions, quality controls and quality procedures.
• Perform measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels as required.
• Coordinate with the client project manager during site inspections.
• Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and ensure adherence to project standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience in civil road inspection and site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of contract documents, construction specifications and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate daily records and produce detailed inspection reports.
• Excellent communication skills for daily liaison with contractors and engineering teams.
