Structural Engineer

About the role

Young Engineering Consultancy Services is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead analysis, design and repair projects for buildings, bridges and other infrastructure across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building types in line with international codes.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, data sheets and other construction documents.
• Conduct tender, BOQ and technical bid analyses and support the procurement process.
• Carry out site surveys, produce survey reports and attend technical progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with municipality rules and relevant building regulations.

Required profile

• BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5‑7 years of structural engineering experience in the UAE.
• Site experience and familiarity with local municipality regulations.
• DM licence for buildings G+4 or higher and a valid UAE driving licence.
• Previous experience with a UAE engineering consultancy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ETAB, SAFE and Staad.
• AutoCAD and BIM (Revit Structure) competence.
• Strong seismic and wind analysis for mid‑ to high‑rise concrete buildings (American Code).
• Knowledge of DBC21, ADIBC and equivalent building codes.
• Technical report writing and documentation.
• Experience in structural repair, strengthening and design of PT slabs.
• Understanding of steel structures, precast and post‑tension systems.
